Taking the plunge

On a camping trip, just over 12 months ago now, Mike Pip and I met up with a young couple ,Tracey and Darren and their son Luke now our good friends and camping pals. Whilst sharing stories around the camp fire we came to learn of Tracey Darren and Luke's adventures in Caravanastan.   A two and a half year journey around Oz. We were telling them that its was our plans to do the same "next year 2011". They asked when we had planned to leave... "Uhhh not really sure" was our reply. They said we should set a date because if we didn't it would always be "next year or the next year or even the next year" so..... the date was made for June 1st 2011 for a period of 6 months. Now that has changed a bit...now brought forward to May 14 th for a period of 18 months. Setting the date definitely gave us a goal and made it all real. Well now it is Easter break and in only a few short weeks we wil be (as my dad calls it) living the dream.....................
