We had a couple of days at Mount Surprise and went gemming at O'Briens gem fields. Didn't get much but had great fun doing it and Getting there. 40Klm of dirt road with plenty of wildlife, creek crossings and cattle stock to keep us alert. Pip also made friends with one small frog which escaped into our car never to be seen again.. ooops
The prickles here were unbelievable and even worse in Normanton which was our next stop before arriving in Karumba

Here at Karumba Jeeps are slightly out numbered. There is one Jeep in Karumba OURS!!!
